This all started with an experiment. It was made in my gallery which I use as a studio as well and I was just wondering whether it will be comfortable to make big paintings inside. I decided to breathe life to an idea I've been having from two really big bush trees I saw close to home. It's a summer painting in terms of theme and was also made in blasting heat in the middle of August.
I wanted to be really free in the process of making it without thinking about the "rules" of art. One such rule which I follow is to not paint green foliage as just green. Another being to simplify foliage and avoid painting singled out leaves, but this time I wanted to really do it this way and I've done at least a few thousand dots to create the illusion of real plants here. I used at least a few bottles of all my green shades and used my palette knife a lot for the shrubbery in the foreground.
I hope it warms the home it gets invited to and bring joy to its future owner as I have put my heart into creating it.
Signed on the front.
